Physiotherapists

Victoria Davis founded Brookfields Physiotherapy Clinic in March 1990.
She qualified from Middlesex Hospital in 1973 and left in 1974 after which she travelled extensively before working in South Africa as a physiotherapist at Princess Alice Hospital, Retreat, Cape Town and at a Mission Hospital in the Transkei. Subsequently she worked in the NHS at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon and at Battle Hospital Reading. Throughout her years working at Brookfields she has forged strong and unique relationships with GP’s surgeries, the NHS, Consultants and private insurance companies. The Clinic has since its opening upheld the excellence of Victoria’s founding principles and continues to grow and strengthen with the addition of new permanent staff in 2009 and 2010.
Victoria regularly continues to expand her base of knowledge by continually attending courses and in 2009 completed a BSc Honours Psychology degree with the Open University. She lives in Hungerford and has three children.
Sophie Dorkings trained at Hertfordshire University between 1996 -1999, and went on to work at the Princess Royal Hospital in Hayward’s Heath where she undertook basic grade rotations before being promoted and specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy. She moved to Southampton General Hospital in 2002, where she gained further experience in an enormous teaching hospital, which helped her to develop skills in out-patient physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, culminating in her role as manager of the orthopaedic and out-patient physiotherapy service and lead therapist for hydrotherapy.
Alongside this Sophie with her business partner and friend Samantha Firkin set up and started to build a practice in Dorchester which  has been growing steadily for over 3 years, and now they are able to split their weeks to work at Brookfields and in Dorchester.
Christine Eighteen trained at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and qualified in 1980. She then worked at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey and Frimley Park Hospital, Camberley before taking time off to have two children. She joined Brookfields in 1991, a year after it was opened, and has worked there ever since.
Samantha Firkin trained at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London, and qualified in 2001. She worked at the Royal Bournmouth Hospital and for Southampton University Hospital Trust until she joined the private sector in 2006. Since then Sam has worked as a spinal specialist, and has also become qualified as a Pilates instructor and as an occupational health specialist
