About Us

Brookfields is housed in a traditional Norwegian log cabin set in private grounds on the edge of the village of Highclere, with views across the mature garden to open farmland beyond.

The Pool at Brookfields

The focal point of the building is the attractive heated pool which measures 30′ x 14′ (9 x 4¼ m) which is maintained at a constant 90°F (32°C). An extensive shallow end and appropriate equipment such as a hoist make it entirely suitable for hydrotherapy, whilst it is of sufficient size to offer swimming exercise to those that require it.

The workout room is arrayed with apparatus for all manner of activities, from aerobics to exercise regimes and treatments for specific injuries and chronic conditions.

There are well-equipped treatment areas which afford total privacy to the patient and there is even a small sauna which is available to clients by arrangement.

A Treatment Room

The concept of this clinic is to provide facilities in an attractive environment where patients can come at any time to receive physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and perform regular exercises, specifically tailored for each individual to promote healing, improve fitness or alleviate chronic conditions.

The result is a unique concept in fitness therapy; essentially a physiotherapy clinic centred around a hydrotherapy pool but offering much more, where a team of qualified and experienced physiotherapists provide comprehensive treatments both in and out of the water.

Since our foundation in 1990 by Victoria Davis we have built up an enviable reputation amongst GPs, consultants and other medical professionals. Whilst many of our patients are referred by doctors, others hear of our success from satisfied clients.

We are an enthusiastic team and we all keep our skills and knowledge up to date by regularly attending courses and conferences. We also have an interest in the best alternative treatments and strive to apply these techniques where appropriate within our innovative regimes.
